Africa and India Sector Lead

Kelly Carlin

Kelly is an energy access practitioner and entrepreneur. He brings six years of experience with RMI's Africa energy program, where he worked with governments, utilities, the private sector, and donor partners to accelerate off-grid electrification on the continent. He has worked across eight countries in sub-Saharan Africa on topics ranging from minigrids to productive use to clean cooking, and most recently led the design of a $24M pan-African minigrid program for the Global Environment Facility. Prior to RMI, he served as COO at a transportation software startup and taught leadership for the National Outdoor Leadership School.
