In the marine and aviation segments oil consumption is projected to increase over 80% by 2050 due to developing economies and demand, and lack of sustainable alternatives. Low carbon liquid fuels that can directly replace the currently used fossil fuels are urgently needed to meet the 2030 targets.
TECHNOLOGY SOLUTION
XFuel's two proprietary conversion technologies produce high-grade transportation fuel from all types of scalable waste material: Chemical liquid refining (CLR) purifies and cracks waste hydrocarbon oils and residues (recycled carbon fuels), and Mechanical Carbon Conversion (MECC) co-processes lignocellulosic biomass and waste oil (advanced biofuels and recycled carbon fuels dependent on feedstock used). XFuel will produce and sell the first low-carbon fuel at fossil market pricing globally.
