Oxylus Energy

The hard-to-abate sectors (~11% of global emissions) of aviation, shipping, and petrochemicals are difficult to electrify and need carbon as either fuel or feedstock. Thus, they require the use of alternative fuels, which are currently too costly and are limited in scale and availability.

Oxylus Energy converts CO2 into green methanol using CO2 electrolysis. Their technology takes CO2, H2O, and renewable electricity and, in one reactor, converts this CO2 to green methanol in the most energy efficient way. This allows for both on-site decarbonization as well as most scalable green methanol production for the hard-to-abate sectors.
