Heavy industry is responsible for 30% of global carbon pollution, over half of which comes from cement, steel, and chemicals. Steelmaking produces over 500 million tons of solid waste per year. Both carbon pollution and solid waste pose significant environmental and climate challenges.
TECHNOLOGY SOLUTION
Greenore converts iron and steel slag and waste carbon dioxide into valuable products — including carbon-negative PCC, a filler material to reduce the carbon intensity of paper, plastics, and rubber, and carbon-negative SCMs to reduce cement content and carbon intensity of concrete. Greenore's technology mineralizes carbon dioxide at ambient temperature and low pressure, even from diluted industrial flue gas.
