Tires are incredibly carbon intensive to make and waste energy per mile, increasing CO2-emissions. Most tires are burnt at their end-of-life. This problem is getting worse as tire pollution is increasing with increased mobility, while EVs wear tires 20-50% faster according to Michelin and Goodyear.
TECHNOLOGY SOLUTION
ENSO reduces EV electricity use (kWh), carbon (CO2) and costs ($) per mile, making EVs cheaper to operate while tackling a major source of air and microplastic pollution. Making tires more durable not only reduces harmful tire pollution but also end-of-life waste, an additional carbon and cost saving. All EV owners are ENSO’s target customers, but the initial focus is on high mileage EV fleets operating in densely populated urban areas such as high-milage electric delivery van fleets.
