Balancing safe, efficient, and cost-effective storage and transportation remains critical to integrating hydrogen into energy infrastructure. Current methods, such as compressed and liquified H2, require significant energy inputs, higher safety risk management and specialized infrastructure.

Ayrton's novel Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier (LOHC) system introduces a simplified approach to hydrogen storage by enabling H2 storage in a room temperature and pressure liquid, which can be stored and managed no differently than diesel and can use existing low-cost infrastructure including tanks, trucks, rail and pipelines.
