TechEnergy Ventures, the CVC arm of the Energy Division of the Techint Group, has partnered with Third Derivative to further increase their impact in the climate tech space. TechEnergy Ventures invests in disruptive technologies to lead decarbonization and enable breakthroughs, while contributing to the generation of new businesses.

Third Derivative and TechEnergy Ventures will collaborate in finding the best startups in areas including Clean Power & Electrification, Sustainable Minerals Extractions and Hydrogen & Clean Fuels. Moreover, TechEnergy Ventures brings the Third Derivative community unique insights into the growing Latin American climate-tech market.

Introducing: Clean Mobile Power Initiative

New project with Netflix & Disney focused on clean mobile power

For the entertainment industry, achieving a 1.5°C climate trajectory will require massive deployment of clean, reliable power generating technologies that provide solutions to onsite diesel usage. Through the Clean Mobile Power Initiative (CMPI), we aim to identify and deliver cost-competitive zero emissions mobile power at scale for the entertainment industry by 2026, with the goal of eventually eliminating diesel generators in top production markets. Soon, we will be calling upon the most promising startups that can deploy clean mobile power to join us, with the opportunity to participate in a focused cohort, receiving tailored accelerator services and opportunities for piloting with industry collaborators.
