Written by Third Derivative | June 5, 2024

We are excited to share that entertainment industry equipment suppliers, The MBS Group, Sunbelt Rentals, and Quixote by Sunset Studios, have joined the Clean Mobile Power Initiative as partners.

Founded by Netflix and The Walt Disney Company with the participation and support of RMI and Third Derivative, theClean Mobile Power Initiativeaims to identify and deliver cost-competitive, zero-emissions mobile power at scale for the entertainment industry.

In joining as Supplier Partners, The MBS Group, Sunbelt Rentals, and Quixote by Sunset Studios will help the initiative in sending an industry-wide demand signal, as well as testing, validating, and deploying solutions as part of the Clean Mobile Power Cohort. These partnerships demonstrate the entertainment industry’s interest in and progress toward transitioning to zero-emission power technologies. In addition to these equipment supplier partners, the initiative continues to work to bring together representatives from leading production studios and cleantech manufacturers.

The initiative and its partners will present a panel titled “Accelerating Zero-Emission Solutions through the Clean Mobile Power Initiative” on June 8th at Cine Gear Expo LA. There, they will discuss the initiative and why it was launched, demystify clean mobile power technologies, and share the latest on startups participating in Third Derivative'sClean Mobile Power Cohort
